More about the Speaker
Ngiphiwe (Mapi) Mhlangu
Ngiphiwe (Mapi) Mhlangu is a certified grief educator and director of LoveLegacyDignity and a Henley MBA alum. As Editor-in-Chief at Newzroom Afrika and founder of Minsight Content Creation, she is passionate about storytelling and shaping societal narratives. Having written about topics like HIV/AIDS, the COVID pandemic, and loss, she’s seen first-hand the impact that unspoken wishes can have on those who are left behind. Inspired by her mother’s foresight in planning, Mapi co-founded The LoveLegacyDignity Institute to help others navigate grief with clarity and dignity.
Dr Helena Dolny is a leadership coach and the founder of Grey Matters, which specialises in leadership development and coaching. She is the author of Before Forever After – When Conversations About Living Meet Questions About Dying and has experienced loss first-hand. After her husband, Joe Slovo, passed away following a long illness, she recognised the importance of the conversations left unspoken. This led her to co-found LoveLegacyDignity, which is dedicated to public education and advocacy on grief and end-of-life planning. She is also a trained hospice counselor, end-of-life guide, and certified grief educator.
