DAC webinar: Engaging women entrepreneurs within African agricultural supply chains – opportunities and challenges

Women have been active and significant actors in African food and agriculture sectors for centuries, although their growing and pervasive role as entrepreneurs and managers of small and medium-sized enterprises across the continent is not always fully appreciated.

In this webinar, host Prof Rajneesh Narula and an African-wide panel will explore:

  • The unique constraints and opportunities women-owned and led businesses face in Africa
  • How we can better support Africa's agribusiness leaders
  • The inherent problems (and opportunities) of prospering in a sector often dominated by supply chains led by global enterprises
